Sunstar Foundation conducts a wide range of dental care activities for people across Japan. In doing so we aim to help everyone achieve oral health and improve the quality of life (QOL) so that people can enjoy meals with their natural teeth and smile freely.
The importance of oral health
The importance of oral health is highlighted in many occasions against the backdrop of the 8020 Movement and the Health Promotion Act. However, there are many people who do not go to the dentist until symptoms appear. As a result, dental problems that could be treated at lower costs and with fewer treatment days if they were discovered and treated in the early stages are not taken care of promptly. Furthermore, the results of recent studies suggest that there is some connection between dental problems and systemic illnesses.
